Destiny 2 Ghost Primus Review
Destiny 2 Ghost Primus ReviewIn a world where no one seems to know who Primus is Destiny 2 Ghost Primus seems to have the story of the three primary characters wrapped up. The identity of Primus is only important to the player if they buy the optional DLC, but the rest of the story works fine in this respect, and it's a good game all around. I will say that I haven't seen any sign of the 'free' DLC, so that was a little disappointing, but you can check that out later.I found that the game's story seemed to flow much better than in the first Destiny. It felt like the events were connected, not like they just happened. It made me feel like I was actually there, with the story taking places in between missions, on the moon, or as you travel between planets. Those elements all felt connected and not in a 'character meets and is then left alone for a while' sort of way.Missions are tough but not too difficult. They just required some thought and consideration before the actual mission sta rted. The challenges themselves were really challenging and even made me want to look at the cards to find the next option and figure out how to complete the mission. The big challenge during the game though was a giant red screen that would appear over the head of the player. Once the screen appeared, the game could be paused and attempted to complete it, or restarted by simply hitting Escape. Sometimes the red screen would show up right away and other times it would take a few tries. I got by without spending too much time on it, but it was certainly a challenge to me.Playing with the special operations team also made for a different sort of challenge. They had special abilities that allowed them to stay away from enemies, and I discovered that I liked being able to see through their eyes, and trust that they were really shooting at the target when they did it. They were quite effective in my play sessions. There were a few different ways to play the game, depending on whether you h ad the Ghost and the Warrior class of character. For example, if you have the Ghost you get the ability to dash without having to wait for a specific time to recharge. If you have the Warrior, you can use the grapple ability to move from one part of the map to another without waiting for a cooldown period. There were a lot of the same enemies that appeared in the first game, but there were a lot more Guardians, and the drops and rewards were somewhat better. You can get energy weapons and armor which increase your defense against your opponents. The guardian armor works the same way, but is better against enemy fire.Destiny 2 Ghost Primus is a fun game, and it's pretty good value for the price. You can get to the level cap in less than an hour, and the enemies aren't very difficult to deal with, even for the more experienced players. Some of the skill challenges do require you to use your special abilities, but they aren't too difficult.
